The Aspen Grove network would like to invite foster, adoptive or interested families for a time of fellowship and a teaching from Tim Hedden, a Trust-Based Relational Interventionist. Thursday, February 16th {5:30-8pm} Woodridge Church, Medina A little preview: Hi, my name is Tim Hedden and I would like to spend some time with you sharing what I know about how to connect and work with kids who have experienced relational trauma. I am a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Practitioner. I am also the father of eight children, three of whom were adopted from China. Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is a holistic approach that is multi‐disciplinary, flexible, attachment‐centered, and challenging. It is an evidence‐based, trauma‐informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places, such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence, but you’ll see that the principles apply to all children. TBRI® consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting Principles, to which you will be introduced during this two-hour introduction. I am excited to meet you and hope you will take away some skills that will change the way you interact and connect with the children in your care whether biological, foster or adopted. These principles have been game-changers in our home, and I hope they will transform your way of thinking and help you become the catalyst for healing in your child’s life. Evening Schedule: 5:30 - 6pm: Dinner 6pm - 8pm: Guest Speaker Tim Hedden (If you can't make it until 6pm, we will still feed you!) Help us plan ahead for dinner & childcare needs - please RSVP below.
