  • We seek to connect The Highlands Church senior attendees to each other and to the Lord. 

    Our key passage that guides us is Matthew 22:36-39

    “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

    We spur each other on to love the Lord

    • Through Bible teaching

    • Through prayer

    • Through service

    We grow in our witness to love others

    • To fellowship with each other

    • To pray for each other

    • To serve each other

    • To grow in our faith. 

    • To serve the Highlands Church

  • There are two main gathering times for the Encore Community. 

    One is the Monthly Gathering.  It is held on the second Monday evening of each month from 6:30-8:00 PM at the church. 

    The second is a weekly Coffee Time at church each Friday afternoon from 2-4 PM.

    Summer Coffee Times will vary so reach out for the latest schedule.

  • Bible & Bingo
    Monday, September 14 | 6:30–8:00 PM

    Join us for a fun evening of Bible and Bingo featuring special guest Kimberly Erickson, a missionary serving in Uganda.

    Kimberly has a very special connection to our Encore family - in 2011, she was the living liver donor for our very own Becky McGuire, who is a member and leader of our Encore Ministry ❤️

    Enjoy an evening of Bingo and hear Kimberly share about her work with Sunflower Ministries, which was born out of a deep ache for God’s children with disabilities in Northern Uganda.

    Because of difficult and complicated circumstances, many individuals with disabilities—especially children—do not have access to the care, support, and opportunities they need. Sunflower Ministries exists to come alongside these individuals and families, bringing hope, dignity, and practical support to some of the most vulnerable in Uganda.

    Come enjoy fellowship, Bingo, and an inspiring evening of hearing how God is at work among “the least of these” in Africa!
