Plan Your Visit

I’m new. Is there anything I should do?

Yes! If you’re visiting us for the first time, be sure to stop by our I’m New Here table at some point during your visit. There, you’ll find friendly staff and volunteers ready to answer any of your questions or direct you to our different ministry areas.

What is worship like?

Our live music is an immersive experience, often energetic and upbeat but sometimes more somber and contemplative—depending on the message. Our worship team consists of a talented crew of musicians, from keyboard/piano to bass/guitar, drums and vocals …

What time should I get there?

If you have kids, you may want to arrive 10–15 minutes early to get them checked in. (A great option is to fill out the New Visitor Form before your first visit, if you’d like to save time the morning you arrive.) If you don’t have kids, you might want to give yourself a few minutes to grab coffee before finding a comfortable spot in the auditorium.

What should I wear?

There’s no dress code around here, and most dress pretty casually. You’re invited to simply come as you are—no need to dress up.

Do you have kids programs?

We offer fun and safe kids and youth programming during our regular church service times. Programming for Early Childhood (birth thru 5 years old) and Elementary kids (kindergarten through 4th grade) is available during all regular services. 5th & 6th Grade Students (our 56ers program) meet Sunday mornings during all services, while High School Students (7th–12th grade) are invited to sit with their families in the main service.

How long is it?

Services usually last about an hour.

More about a typical service …

  • You will be greeted by friendly faces both at the door and inside. Adults with children will find easy registration stations located on the “Highlands Kids” wall. Ushers will help find seating for you. Relevant and inspiring music typically sets the tone for the services, with an invitation for you to sing along as you feel comfortable. The service is comprised of opportunities for you to explore your faith and deepen your personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, music, personal stories, communion and relevant teaching.

  • Visitors are special guests. Your personal style of worship is respected, whether it be quiet and reflective or enthusiastically involved. You will not be singled out or put on the spot in our services. As our guest, you will not be asked to give financially.

  • Our leaders would love to meet you, pray with you or answer any questions you may have. If you're not sure who to ask, locate an usher or speak directly to the teaching pastor. At the end of each service, members of our Prayer Team are available at the front of the auditorium to pray for you.

Our “New Here” area in the lobby is a good place to ask any questions you may have about what's going on here at The Highlands. Join us for free coffee in the Cafe.

Feel free to watch this recent service, or watch past messages.
