A letter from Pastor Aaron
Highlands Church Family,
This is an incredible time to be part of what God is doing at The Highlands.
Week after week we are seeing lives changed. People are meeting Jesus, families are getting connected, students are stepping into faith, and new faces are walking through our doors. What God is doing in and through this church is something we don’t take for granted!
But with all that growth comes a reality we can no longer ignore: We are running out of space. Services are filling up. Parking is tight. Kids environments are stretching. And while all that is worth celebrating, it also presents challenges we must address. We don’t want lack of space to limit what God wants to do next.
We believe God has positioned us for more.
More people reached.
More lives transformed.
This is why we are launching a new giving initiative, The Harvest Campaign, to expand our building and create space for what’s ahead. Jesus taught us in Luke 10:2: He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. The harvest is plentiful and now is the opportunity to respond.
This isn’t just about adding square footage, it’s about making room for people. It’s about creating environments where kids can learn about Jesus, students can find identity and purpose, and adults can encounter God in powerful ways.
Throughout Scripture we see God’s people step forward in faith to build spaces that would serve future generations. Now it’s our turn.
We truly believe this is a God-sized opportunity to trust Him, to step out in faith, and to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Thank you for the way you’ve already given, served, and invested in this church. Your generosity has made a lasting impact and it will continue to.
As we step into this next, exciting season, we invite you to pray, to ask God what He would have you do, and to be part of the story He is writing here at The Highlands.
The best is still ahead.
With gratitude and faith,
Aaron Sorenson
Lead Pastor
