Questions you might be asking

1. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN? WHEN CAN WE START BUILDING?

ANSWER: There are A LOT of factors to this question, and the amount/size of pledges we make together this Spring is a huge factor! We will move at the speed of our generosity.

2. WHY DON’T WE JUST PUT ASIDE SOMETHING LIKE 5-10% OF OUR BUDGET AND SAVE MONEY FOR THE BUILDING THAT WAY?

ANSWER: Even if we put aside 10% (which is a sizeable amount!) of our regular budget, it would take us 10 years to raise 1 million! We simply can’t afford to wait that long.

3. WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH DEVELOPING THIS PLAN AND HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN IN THE WORKS?

ANSWER: We’ve been working towards this since 2024! Our staff and other Aspen Grove staff have been working really hard on our building layout since the spring of 2024.

4. HOW WILL WE MEET AND HAVE CHURCH DURING CONSTRUCTION?

ANSWER: We will try to move back to the Delano High School. DJ Kranz is committed to letting us stay in our building as long as possible and making the time away from the building as short as possible. We’re thankful we have a great relationship with the school and we hope they will allow us to meet there for the time it takes to build the new auditorium.

5 . ARE WE STILL INTERESTED IN CHURCH PLANTING? CAN WE SEND PEOPLE OUT TO A NEW CHURCH PLANT(S)?

ANSWER: Absolutely! We are already praying and researching areas around Delano where we could see starting a church plant. We believe that God will use The Highlands to be a catalyst for new churches across the growing western suburbs.
